Admission to New Beginnings
Adnmission Criteria
A client may seek residential treatment independently or be referred by family or friends, health and mental health care professionals, community agencies, self-help groups or a variety of referral sources. In general, treatment for Addiction Recovery is indicated under the following circumstances:
- The client is between the ages of thirteen (13) and twenty-five (25);
- The client presents symptoms of substance abuse/dependence as classified in the DSM IV and is demonstrating addictive behavior patterns;
- The client’s present status prevents his/her functioning without intensive, coordinated professional assistance;
- Client’s who have, or indicate the potential for regaining, the cognitive ability to participate in the treatment program and function at or above the borderline level of intelligence;
- Clients who are physically able, or show the potential to regain the ability to participate in, structured activities and perform daily self-care tasks with minimal assistance.
- Clients who are medically stable and not in need of intensive/acute medical care.
- Client has insurance or ability to pay. Exceptions may be made in emergencies where temporary care is provided until alternative dispositions can be formulated.
Upon intake, the client establishes an initial treatment plan with his counselor. This plan is based on the needs of the client, the recommendations of the referring therapist, and the services available to assist him in reaching his goals. During the orientation process, the client will be assigned a big brother or sister to help him become comfortable in the program.

You will be given a date for admission. On that date, the patient will present himself at New Beginnings. Arrangements can be made for patients to be picked up at the point of arrival. (airport, train and bus stations)
Our charges are per month and include room, board, and therapy and all activities at the facility.
New Beginnings will bill your insurance through our modern computerized billing system. Please consult with our billing office for details.
