Exceptions to the Schedule
While you are a resident at New Beginnings there will be times when you will have a need that can only be met by missing part of the schedule. When this occurs1 all you need to do is speak to your Counselor or the Clinical Director and ask permission to miss the scheduled event. If your reason is valid, permission will be granted. Present a written permission statement.
Things to Remeber
All of society is governed by rules. They are sometimes~neither pleasant or fair. It is a fact that mankind could not exist, as a society, without them.
The staff of New Beginnings has devised a code of conduct which will assist you in:
- recovering from your disease
- living with others like yourself
- increasing your self-esteem
- developing a lifestyle which is positive
- letting go of your old negative lifestyle
It goes without saying that if you choose to be rebellious and not follow the rules, or if you are a people pleaser, manipulator and do enough just to get by, you will not benefit from this. The choice is yours. Let go and Let God!
There are many rules, regulations, expectations, and responsibilities embodied in our manual. We have done as thorough a job as we could to include all rules, etc. which exist, however, there will always be new situations which require new ideas. Be flexible and remember that the staff is human, we make mistakes, but we are here to help and not hinder you.
