Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Treatment

Welcome to New Beginnings Facility for Residential Drug, Drug and Alcohol Therapy

New Beginnings

Treatment; Treatment for Drugs and Alcohol
Every day more youth become dangerously involved with drugs & alcohol, to the point of abuse. Abuse occurs in the lives of  young adults regardless of their socio-economic level, how often they go to church or whether their parents are married or divorced.

Depression Can Play A Role In Adolescent Drug and Alcohol Addiction

Depression May Be Caused by Many Things, Including:

  • Family history & genetics.

  • Other general medical illnesses.

  • Certain medicines.

  • Getting high or drunk.

  • Other psychiatric conditions.

Certain life conditions (such as extreme stress or grief), may bring on a depression or prevent a full recovery. In some people, depression occurs even when life is going well. Depression is not your fault. It is not a weakness. It is a medical illness. Depression is treatable.

Am I An Addict?
This may not be an easy thing to do. All through our usage, we told ourselves, "I can handle it." Even if this was true in the beginning, it is not so now. The drugs handled us. We lived to use & used to live. Very simply, an addict is a person whose life is controlled by drugs.

Twelve Steps
New Beginnings is not affiliated with any 12 step program
.

We simply recognize the 12 steps are currently the most effective way to treat addictions in the majority of cases. Since AA was the first 12 step program & is the largest we've supplied additional information below.

The spiritual, practical program which is the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous is an important part of the philosophy of the New Beginnings. These Twelve Steps are a way for people to begin the process of recovery from dependency on alcohol, drugs, a person, or activities such as gambling or worrying. The Twelve Steps are so profound a program that they continue to provide lifelong guidelines for a healthy daily living free from the ill effects of compulsions.
